THE CHALLENGE
WV Living is Wolverhampton Council’s commercial housing building company which has been set by the City of Wolverhampton Council. This was to help build and develop a range of new affordable home solutions for the region.
We worked in partnership to appoint Vic O’Brien as the Interim COO, who then came to us regarding a number of roles. For permanent and interim positions, the Council had an original arrangement in place with a retained agency. We were approached as the existing agency wasn’t able to find the required housing skillset, due to their lack of specialist experience in the field and WV Living needed a solution fast.

THE SOLUTION
We assisted them in defining the job specifications and taking the opportunity to market (using their brand) in such a way that highlighted the detailed experience required for these roles as well as clearly promoting the benefits of working for WV Living and the associated opportunities.
By combining this approach with our access to our networks/niche candidate pools, we were able to generate strong shortlists that went forward for interviews.

THE RESULTS
All of the roles were successfully filled by us, enabling the client to bring in the staff it needed on time in an efficient manner and to budget. The contractors have been there for a year and six months and has have been instrumental in unlocking and progressing their housing pipeline, delivering affordable housing for the Wolverhampton area.
