Role Summary
As a Senior Delivery Manager, you will play a pivotal role in steering complex digital initiatives within a vital public sector programme. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced professional with active SC (Security Clearance) who is eager to contribute to high-profile projects that have a tangible societal impact. Your strategic leadership will ensure programmes are delivered efficiently, securely, and in alignment with organisational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and facilitate Agile delivery, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
- Manage and maintain RAID logs – identifying, mitigating, and reporting on risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies
- Oversee inter-workstream dependencies to ensure seamless delivery
- Maintain detailed commercial oversight, tracking progress against budgets and milestones
- Ensure programmes meet all agreed deadlines and desired outcomes
- Prepare and present governance reports to stakeholders and senior leadership, supporting informed decision-making
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Delivery or Programme Manager within a digital/IT environment
- Active SC (Security Check) clearance – essential for consideration
- Extensive knowledge of Agile methodologies and frameworks
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Demonstrable experience in RAID management and dependency oversight
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams and maintain programme governance
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Experience working within government or public sector projects
- Knowledge of additional security or compliance requirements
- Previous experience managing large-scale digital transformation programmes
