Seeking an experienced Principal Software Test Engineer to join a long-term programme focused on the development of advanced software solutions on Embedded Linux platforms.
This is an excellent opportunity for a senior-level test professional with extensive experience in automated testing, technical leadership, and quality assurance within Agile environments. The role offers a long-term contract engagement with strong potential for extension.
Key Responsibilities:
– Lead the design, development, and execution of automated test solutions using Python, Squish, and other appropriate technologies.
– Provide technical leadership and mentoring to test engineers, promoting testing best practices, coding standards, and continuous improvement.
– Drive test estimation, planning, and delivery activities across complex software projects.
– Support CI/CD integration, secure software development practices, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
Essential Requirements:
– 10+ years’ commercial experience in software test design, test execution, and test automation.
– Extensive hands-on experience developing automated test scripts using Python.
– Strong experience with Squish or comparable GUI test automation frameworks.
– Strong understanding of Agile/SAFe methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and modern software engineering practices.
