IT Project Manager – Housing – 6 months contract – £450/day (Outside IR35)

Our client is seeking a Project Manager to join their Project Services function, taking ownership of a diverse portfolio of projects aligned to their strategic objectives. From major transformation programmes to focused business improvement initiatives, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities

Develop robust business cases with Project Sponsors, assessing requirements, costs, benefits, risks, and issues

Define project scope, governance structures, and delivery plans

Lead projects from initiation through to delivery, ensuring alignment with organisational goals

Establish and manage project governance, including reporting, escalation routes, and decision-making forums

Identify and engage stakeholders effectively throughout the project lifecycle

Lead and coordinate matrix project teams, including internal colleagues and external suppliers

Manage project budgets, resources, risks, and issues, ensuring proactive mitigation

Provide clear, timely reporting on project progress, risks, and performance

Work closely with Test and Training teams to support successful implementation and adoption

Support benefits realisation by ensuring frameworks are in place to track outcomes
About You

Prince2 Practitioner or equivalent project management qualification

Experience within the housing sector or a similar regulated environment (desirable)

Proven track record delivering projects involving people, process, and technology change

Experience leading matrix teams and managing cross-functional stakeholders

Strong understanding of project management methodologies and governance frameworks

Confident managing budgets and third‑party suppliers

Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and influencing skills
