Panoramic Associates are supporting our client with a high level, Strategic Project Director appointment. This will either be a 1 year FTC or daily rate position.
The role sits at a Project Director equivalent level and is less about BAU management and more about rebuilding coordination, restoring collective direction, and translating network intent into funded, deliverable programmes.
Onsite: 2 days per week
Location: South of England
Contract Type: Daily rate or FTC considered
Start date: Within four weeks ideally
Role:
- Conduct horizon scanning, drafting, and submitting bids for future funding and investment opportunities.
- Leverage the network to identify and secure investment opportunities, including joint procurement, business development, and grant-funded initiatives
- Develop practical methods of sharing staffing resources across the partnership and achieve consensus through existing governance mechanisms.
- Consulting with key local employers to improve the local skills system.
Requirements:
- Proven track record of leading complex, multi-stakeholder projects, or networks
- Experience in securing external funding and managing funded programmes.
- Experience working within or alongside further/adult education providers.
- Experience of policy analysis and lobbying or influencing decision-makers.
- A strong track record in leading multi-stakeholder projects.
- Experience in securing and managing external funding.
- Deep understanding of the UK post-16 education and skills landscape.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills.
- A collaborative, proactive, and resilient approach.
