NHS Estates Manager – 6 Months – West Midlands
Panoramic Associates are pleased to be supporting an NHS Trust in the search for an Estates Manager to play a key role in the operational delivery of a safe, compliant, and high-performing estate. This is an opportunity to take ownership of a complex and diverse portfolio, ensuring buildings, engineering systems, and grounds are maintained to the highest NHS and statutory standards.
You’ll be at the heart of driving performance, leading maintenance services, managing contractors, and ensuring everything runs efficiently behind the scenes to support frontline patient care. With a strong focus on compliance, continuous improvement, and service quality, this role offers the chance to make a genuine impact while working within a fast-paced and purpose driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead planned and reactive maintenance across site(s)
- Manage in-house teams and contractors to deliver an efficient service
- Ensure full statutory compliance (HTMs, HSE, Legionella, asbestos, etc.)
- Oversee budgets, contracts, and resource allocation
- Monitor performance and drive continuous improvement
- Act as Authorised/Responsible Person where required
- Support capital projects, risk management, and business continuity
Requirements
- Proven estates/facilities management experience (ideally healthcare)
- Strong knowledge of compliance and health & safety regulations
- Experience managing teams, contractors, and budgets
- Strong stakeholder and communication skills
