Interim Systems Accountant | Local Government
Arrangement: Hybrid (two days a week on site preferred)
Duration: 9 to 12 months
Start: December
Rate: Competitive day rate, likely outside IR35
The opportunity
A local authority is replacing its finance system, with go-live planned for July. They need an experienced finance systems professional to support the end-to-end implementation.
Day to day
- Design and set up the chart of accounts and cost centre structure
- Define finance requirements and map current processes to the new system
- Configure and test core ledgers, accounts payable, accounts receivable and budgeting
- Plan and support data migration, including balance reconciliation and cleansing
- Design reporting and month end and year end processes
- Take part in design workshops and write user stories
- Run user acceptance testing and resolve issues
- Support cutover, go-live and the weeks after
- Pass on knowledge to the finance team as you go
About you
- Local government finance systems experience- preferably OneAdvanced Financials
- Experience of a finance system implementation from start to finish
- Qualified or QBE, as systems knowledge matters more than the letters
- Proactive, collaborative and a clear communicator
