Panoramic Associates are currently recruiting on behalf of a Local Authority based in the Northern Home Counties who are looking for a Locum Adult Social Care Solicitor to join their team on an initial 6 month contract, with a strong likelihood of extension.
The successful candidate will be able to work fully remotely, although there is a preference for occasional office attendance (approximately once a month) where possible. The client would be open to flexibility around this for the right candidate, and the role is accessible for candidates based across the Midlands and London.
The role will involve providing specialist legal advice and representation in relation to Adult Social Care matters, including advising on complex cases involving community care, safeguarding, mental health and the protection of vulnerable adults. The successful candidate will support the client to ensure compliance with statutory duties and provide practical, solutions-focused legal advice to social care teams.
There will also be opportunities to contribute to training and knowledge sharing with social care professionals, helping to improve understanding of relevant legal responsibilities and processes.
Essential criteria:
- A qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Chartered Legal Executive with litigation rights.
- Recent experience of working within a Local Authority or public sector setting advising on Adult Social Care matters.
- Strong knowledge of the legal framework surrounding adult social care, safeguarding and community care.
- Experience managing a varied caseload independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong advocacy and litigation experience.
