Role Summary:
This vital position has arisen to support the exisiting team in the service. As Clinical Lead, you will have a strategic and hands-on role in shaping clinical standards as the service scales. You will work closely with the Manager to ensure high standards of care, compliance, and service excellence, contributing to improved lives for adults with complex conditions. This role offers an exciting opportunity to influence service delivery at a senior level within a pioneering environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead clinical practice to ensure safety and consistency across all aspects of care delivery.
- Support the Manager in the daily operational management of the service.
- Provide expert clinical guidance, mentorship, and training to nursing staff and multidisciplinary teams.
- Oversee clinical governance processes, including audits, policy reviews, and implementing improvement plans.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, develop personalised care plans, and evaluate outcomes.
- Foster strong relationships with residents, their families, and external healthcare professionals.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory standards and prepare the service for external inspections.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- NMC Registration as a Registered Nurse (Adult General Nursing).
- Proven experience at Clinical Lead level within complex care, neuro, or similar settings.
- Extensive knowledge of complex conditions, including tracheostomy and ventilated patient management.
- Strong clinical assessment, care planning, and communication capabilities.
- Demonstrated leadership and mentoring skills, with a commitment to high-quality care delivery.
- Ability to support operational and governance-related activities.
Desirable Skills & Experience:
- Experience in nursing care homes.
- Exposure to rehabilitation or longer-term community-based care models.
- Strong understanding of compliance, regulation, and service improvement practices.

Location & Working Arrangements:
- Location: Southampton.
- Full-time, on-site role.
- Standard hours: 9:00am-6:00pm (flexibility possible).
- Initial contract: Permanent position supporting a growing service.
