Job Description:
Panoramic Associates are working with a local authority in Southwest England in the search for an experienced SEN Case Officer to join their team on an initial 6-month contract. There is a non-negotiable requirement to be on-site 2 days per week. The role offers a competitive daily rate through an Umbrella company, inside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assessment and Identification: Conduct thorough assessments to identify students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
- Plan Development: Develop, implement, and oversee Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs) tailored to each student’s unique needs.
- Coordination: Liaise with teachers, parents, health professionals, and external agencies to ensure a cohesive approach to student support.
- Monitoring and Review: Regularly monitor student progress, reviewing and updating support plans as needed to ensure effectiveness.
- Advice and Guidance: Provide expert advice and support to schools, teachers, and parents on best practices for supporting students with SEN.
- Advocacy: Advocate for students with SEN to ensure their needs are met within the educational system.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven experience as a SEN Case Officer or in a similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of SEN legislation and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and case management skills.
- A proactive and compassionate approach to supporting students with SEN.
