Panoramic Associates have partnered up with one of our local authority clients in the East of England, who are looking to recruit a Planning Solicitor to join their established legal team.
This role is offered on a hybrid basis however, there is great flexibility on offer within the team to work the majority of the time on a remote basis with only occasional office attendance being required. The salary on offer ranges between £40,900 – 54,000 per annum with scope for future pay increase in the coming year due to recent pay grade restructure within the authority.
The successful candidate will have conduct of Sec.106 planning agreements and advise on highways matters.
Main Responsibilities
- Handling a caseload of planning law matters including drafting s106 agreements
- Providing legal advice on a wide range of planning matters.
- Advising on highways matters
- Handling planning enforcement matters such as issuing planning enforcement notices.
- There is also opportunity to attend planning committees on behalf of the local authority on a rota basis (roughly once per month).
An ideal candidate will consist the following skillset and attributes.
- 1-2+ years PQE as a Planning Lawyer
- Previous experience working within a local authority
- Strong knowledge and understanding of planning law
- Preferably previous experience advising on highways law
