About the role
We’re working with an established provider supporting older people in Norfolk who requires an Interim Support Manager to provide short-term operational leadership and stability across a busy service. This is a hands-on assignment, ideal for someone confident stepping into a service quickly, embedding good practice, and supporting a team to deliver consistently high-quality, person-centred care.
Key responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day leadership to the service, ensuring safe, high-quality delivery of support
- Support the Registered Manager with operational oversight and service improvement
- Maintain strong standards around safeguarding, risk management, medication processes and care planning
- Coach and support staff, including supervision, performance management and rota/staffing support
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, internal policies and best practice
- Liaise with families, external professionals and stakeholders to promote positive outcomes
- Support with audits, action plans, and ensuring documentation is consistently up to date
What we’re looking for
- Proven experience in a Support Manager / Deputy Manager / Service Manager role within older people’s services
- Strong working knowledge of compliance and quality standards in social care
- Confident leading teams through change, stabilisation or improvement activity
- Excellent communication skills and a calm, pragmatic approach
- Ability to work on-site in Norfolk and commit to a 3–6 month assignment
