Interim SENCo Opportunity – January 2027 start, Maternity Cover
Panoramic Associates are working with a large secondary school in the West Midlands who are seeking a confident and experienced SENCO to provide maternity cover from January 2027 until initially Easter 2027 but possibly longer.
The school has a high level of SEMH and SEND need and is looking for someone who can provide strong leadership, strategic oversight and support to the existing SEND team.
As SENCO, you will work closely with the school’s SEND team, leadership and wider staff to ensure pupils with additional needs receive the appropriate support and provision.
This is a non-teaching position, allowing you to focus fully on SEND leadership, provision and coordination.
The successful candidate will:
- Lead and coordinate SEND provision across the secondary school.
- Work closely with the existing SEND team and senior leadership.
- Oversee and support provision for pupils with a range of SEND and SEMH needs.
- Ensure appropriate systems, processes and statutory responsibilities are effectively managed.
- Provide professional guidance and support to staff around SEND.
- Champion positive outcomes for pupils with additional needs.
