A leading local authority in the South West is seeking an experienced interim Finance Business Partner to support their Adults directorate. This critical role involves partnering with senior leaders to shape financial strategy, manage robust forecasting, and ensure sustainable service delivery during a pivotal period of organizational development.
Key Responsibilities

Strategic Partnering: Act as the lead financial advisor to senior management within the Adults department, aligning financial strategies with operational service delivery.

Financial Management: Oversee budgets, develop detailed financial forecasts, and identify potential risks or opportunities to optimize resource allocation.

Reporting & Analysis: Prepare clear financial reports and presentations for executive review, translating complex data for non-financial stakeholders.

Compliance & Funding: Facilitate smooth financial processes regarding statutory reporting, grants, and project funding.
Requirements

Local Government Expertise: Strong understanding of local government finance frameworks and regulations is essential.

Service Alignment: Proven experience supporting Adult Social Care or community services finance is highly desirable.

Communication: Exceptional communication skills with a track record of successfully influencing senior leadership.

Qualifications: CCAB, CIMA, or ACCA qualification is preferred.
