Building Surveyor (HHSRS Qualified)
Location: London (Hybrid – Primarily site-based, with 1 day/week from home)
Type: Full-time, Permanent
Panoramic Associates are currently partnering with a well-regarded housing management organisation to appoint an experienced Building Surveyor with an accredited HHSRS Assessor qualification.
As the organisation’s HHSRS specialist, you will be responsible for conducting detailed property inspections, identifying hazards, and ensuring that homes meet all required safety and compliance standards.
You will work across a broad range of surveying activities, including HHSRS inspections, EPC assessments, disrepair investigations, planned works, and asset condition surveys. The role also offers the opportunity to contribute to investment planning and provide technical expertise across projects from inception through to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out HHSRS inspections and producing detailed assessment reports
- Undertaking EPC assessments and property condition surveys across residential housing stock
- Diagnosing building fabric defects and recommending practical, cost-effective solutions
- Managing complex disrepair cases and advising on remedial works
- Supporting long-term asset management and investment planning
- Ensuring compliance with Decent Homes Standards and relevant housing legislation
- Maintaining accurate asset and compliance data
- Providing technical input across projects from RIBA Stage 0 through to Stage 7
- Liaising with contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery

About You
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- A degree or equivalent experience within Building Surveying or a related construction discipline
- Accredited HHSRS Assessor status with proven inspection experience
- Strong knowledge of Building Regulations, Health & Safety legislation, and housing compliance frameworks
- Experience within social housing, residential property, or housing management environments
- Excellent technical reporting and stakeholder communication skills
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a varied workload independently
