Panoramic Associates is working with a large charity based in the Greater London area to appoint an Interim Head of Financial Accounting for an initial 12-month contract, with likely extension.
This role has become available to support financial year-end activity and provide leadership across statutory reporting and audit preparation. The postholder will oversee a busy team and ensure the smooth delivery of all financial accounting outputs. The organisation offers flexible hybrid working and a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities of the Role:
* Lead the financial accounting team, overseeing monthly close and statutory reporting.
* Manage year-end and audit processes, ensuring compliance and timely delivery.
* Support the CFO with technical accounting advice and financial insights.
* Maintain strong internal controls and improve accounting processes.
* Ensure reporting aligns with SORP and relevant financial regulations.
To be successful in the role you will have:
* Full accounting qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA or equivalent).
* Experience managing financial accounting functions in a charity or similar setting.
* Strong understanding of SORP, year-end processes, and audit coordination.
* Proven leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Ability to manage deadlines and deliver high-quality outputs.
