Panoramic Associates are working with an education provider who are seeking an experienced Assistant Finance Manager to support on site 5 days a week.
We are seeking a highly motivated and organised Assistant Finance Manager to join their team. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the financial operations of the school. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented individual looking to advance their career in finance within the education sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Finance Manager to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the school’s financial systems.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
- Monitor income and expenditure, identifying variances and providing analysis as required.
- Process invoices, expenses, and payments accurately and in a timely manner.
- Reconcile accounts and maintain financial records with meticulous attention to detail.
- Provide support and guidance to colleagues on financial matters.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and year-end accounts.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
- Undertake ad-hoc financial projects and tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
- Ideally hold a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Proven experience in a finance role, preferably within the education sector.
- Strong understanding of financial principles and practices.
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a small team and independently when necessary.
- A proactive and flexible approach to work, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
