Interim Systems Accountant
Location: South-East UK – Onsite (2-3 days/week)
Contract Duration: 3-months initially
Rate: £400-£450 per day
Our South-East Local Authority client is looking for an experienced and dedicated System Accountant to contribute to the successful implementation of the OneCouncil FMS by TechnologyOne. This is a contract position that offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on a large-scale project.
Key Responsibilities:
– Conduct needs assessments and requirements gathering
– Execute data cleansing and migration tasks
– Integrate the financial management system with other relevant systems
– Perform comprehensive testing and documentation
– Customise configurations to align with organisational needs
– Provide user training and post-implementation support
– Continuously improve system efficiency and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
Requirements:
– Professional qualification (CCAB body) or AAT with relevant experience
– Minimum of 10 years of experience in the Public Sector, preferably within Local Government
– At least 3 years of experience in Financial Systems administration or a similar role
– Demonstrated ability to implement financial systems/solutions at an organisation level
– Familiarity with project management principles and program management frameworks
– Strong analytical skills and proficiency in IT applications including Finance Systems and Excel
– Effective problem-solving abilities and experience in systems implementation
– Knowledge of management controls, Business Process Engineering, and regulatory compliance
