Location: Chelmsford (Hybrid – typically 1-2 days/week in office)
Duration: Fixed-Term (12 Months) | Full-Time (Part-Time Considered)
Salary: £49,050 – £57,706 per annum
Are you an experienced HR professional looking to make a meaningful impact?
We’re seeking a strategic and collaborative People Consultant to join a high-performing HR team within a large and ambitious local authority. You’ll work across directorates to deliver organisational change projects, lead on complex casework, and coach senior leaders through transformation, TUPE, and employee relations matters.
This is an opportunity to contribute to the success of a forward-thinking council serving one of the most dynamic counties in the UK. You’ll play a key role in shaping people strategy and enabling inclusive, effective services that directly support local communities.
What you’ll bring:
- Chartered CIPD membership (or working towards it)
- Strong HR generalist background including change management and complex ER casework
- A confident, solutions-focused approach with the ability to influence at all levels
