Interim Registered Manager

A specialist adult care provider is seeking an experienced Interim Registered Manager to provide strong clinical leadership and operational oversight within a service supporting adults with complex needs. This is a pivotal assignment for a service undergoing a period of improvement, making it an ideal opportunity for a confident turnaround specialist.
The Role
You’ll support in stabilising and strengthening the service, ensuring safe, high‑quality care and full regulatory compliance. Working closely with clinical teams, senior leadership, and external stakeholders, you’ll drive best practice, embed robust processes, and create a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities

Provide clinical and operational leadership across the service

Oversee day‑to‑day management to ensure safe, person‑centred care

Lead on service improvement and turnaround activity

Ensure compliance with CQC standards and internal governance frameworks

Support, mentor, and develop staff teams

Build strong relationships with families, commissioners, and external partners

Deliver clear reporting and maintain high-quality documentation
About You

Registered General or Mental Health Nurse (RGN or RMN) with an active NMC pin

Proven experience as a Registered Manager within adult complex needs services

Strong background in turnaround, service improvement, or crisis management

Confident in leading multidisciplinary teams

Excellent understanding of safeguarding, clinical governance, and regulatory requirements

Able to hit the ground running and bring immediate stability
