Panoramic Associates are excited to bring to you our latest Breakfast Briefing: “Revalidation process for Independent Consultants in Public Health - Where to start”! This will be taking place on Wednesday 13th October at 8am.

For this event, we will be joined by three brilliant guest speakers, Julian Ryder - Director of Education, Standards and Advocacy at the Faculty of Public Health, John Woodhouse – Responsible Officer at the Faculty of Public Health, and Kathy Elliott - Board Member - UK Public Health Register.

As you are fully aware, Public Health Consultants must either have a UK PHR or GMC registration to have full Consultant status. Every 5 years, registered Consultants must go through are validation process in order to revalidate their UK PHR/GMC/GDC status.

We’ve been speaking with a lot of UK PHR registered Interim Consultants in Public Health recently who have shared that - because they don’t work directly for the system, they don’t have access to Professional Appraisers in the same way as Consultants in substantive employment.

Therefore, we have a network of independent/interim Consultants in Public Health who are wondering how other interims have overcome this and how they have navigated the system. People have said that they’d value from having a forum or network where they can share their tips and experiences on how they’ve navigated the system. This is where we come in!

​About our speakers:

​Julian has been in his role at the Faculty for two years; prior to this he worked with a number of royal colleges and faculties on revalidation, training and workforce issues. Before this, Julian worked for the Audit Commission and the Cabinet Office, having started his career in the voluntary sector.
