ABOUT THE ROLE

As Principal Private Sector Housing Officer – Licensing, you will take a lead role in delivering and overseeing complex licensing activity across Luton’s Private Sector Housing service. You’ll manage high-profile and sensitive cases, ensuring residential properties meet required standards while enforcing relevant legislation where needed. Alongside leading investigations and preparing cases for legal proceedings, you’ll supervise and mentor a team of officers, supporting their development and day-to-day delivery.

Working closely with the Private Sector Housing Manager, you’ll also contribute to service improvements and lead key projects, combining operational leadership with deep technical expertise to drive compliance and raise standards across the borough.
