Day Rate: Competitive, based on experience
About the Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Interim Primary Teacher to join a supportive and nurturing special school in the South East. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced teacher to make a real impact in the lives of students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and other special educational needs (SEN).
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging lessons tailored to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Develop creative, differentiated learning strategies to support students with SEMH and SEN, ensuring that every student is encouraged and supported to reach their full potential.
- Work collaboratively with a dedicated team of professionals, including teaching assistants, therapists, and SEN specialists.
- Support the social and emotional development of students, creating a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Proven experience teaching Humanities within a special school or working with students with SEMH/SEN.
- Ability to plan and deliver differentiated lessons that cater to individual learning needs.
- Strong understanding of SEMH strategies and techniques to support students effectively.
- Excellent classroom management skills and a nurturing approach.
- Availability to start immediately and commit until the end of the academic year.
