Interim Deputy Headteacher (SEN/SEMH School)

Panoramic Associates is partnered with an SEN School based in the East Midlands requiring an interim Deputy Headteacher from January until Easter initially, with the possibility of extending. This role is central in driving inclusion and developing personalised support across an SEN/SEMH School.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead on whole-school inclusion, working closely with the SENCo to strengthen SEND provision
  • Oversee curriculum adaptations to meet diverse SEMH and SEND needs
  • Support and quality-assure EHCP processes, ensuring timely and compliant practice.
  • Play a role in safeguarding across the school (not as DSL)
  • Contribute to school improvement and readiness during the Ofsted inspection window.
  • Provide visible, proactive leadership that supports staff, learners, and families.

Essential Requirements:

  • QTS or QTLS
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
  • Strong experience in inclusion, SEND, or SEMH settings
  • Robust safeguarding knowledge and confidence managing complex cases

    Interim Assistant Headteacher Opportunity

    Panoramic Associates is supporting an SEN school in the East Midlands, who require an interim Assistant Headteacher to start with them this side of Christmas, for the remainder of the academic year.

    The role will include:

    • Leadership of the school with both a strategic action plan of improvement including monitoring and quality assurance and also day to day management of staffing
    • Close working with all members of the senior leadership team and participating in SLT meetings and associated actions
    • Leading by example through a 0.4 teaching commitment including delivering lessons to students with complex special educational needs and autism.
    • Day to day support on the ground, supporting regulation of students, supporting staff to manage challenging situations, duties at the start and end of the day and during break times

    This is a 5 day per week role with a view to start ASAP. A DBS on the update service is preferable but not essential. For more information please apply below.

      Interim Assistant Headteacher Opportunity – SEN School

      Panoramic Associates is are supporting an SEN school in the East Midlands, who require an interim Assistant Headteacher to start with them this side of Christmas, for the remainder of the academic year.

      As Assistant Headteacher you will be supporting a small specialist school operationally and either focusing on Pastoral and Well being, or on Teaching and Learning, dependent on your experience. The school caters to ASD/SEMH students, using a trauma informed approach and would like for the interim to have experience in this area.

      Though the role is for January they are looking for someone who is available ASAP and can start in December to allow for a handover period with the departing Assistant Headteacher.         Interim Head of School (Primary School)

        Panoramic is supporting a mainstream primary school in the South West, who require an interim Head of School to start ASAP and remain in post until July 2026.

        The current Head is leaving in December but the Trust are keen for the interim Head to join ASAP to allow for a sufficient handover period. The school is in a strong position currently, but requires an experienced Headteacher to oversee day to day operations and drive forward improvements in preparation for their upcoming inspection. They are currently in their Ofsted window and require the interim Headteacher to lead them through the inspection, with support from the trust. Due to the size of the school, you will ideally also be a SENCo or have SENCo experience, though this is not essential.

        The role is required ASAP for a 5 day per week basis for the full academic year, paid on a day rate inside IR35. A DBS on the update service is preferable but not essential. For more information please apply below or call Sophie on 07488 889516.
