Small Works Manager
Location: Liverpool
Salary: £40,000

Working pattern: Office with regular site visits
A wholly owned subsidiary of a healthcare trust is looking for a Small Works Manager to join its growing Projects Team in Liverpool.
This is a great opportunity to manage a range of small works, minor refurbishments, maintenance, and lifecycle projects across healthcare environments. You’ll be responsible for delivering projects safely, on time, within budget, and with minimal disruption to clinical services.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple small works projects from start to finish
- Plan and coordinate subcontractors
- Monitor budgets, costs, progress, and quality
- Carry out site visits and inspections
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and internal teams
- Ensure compliance with health & safety, statutory, and infection control standards
- Manage project documentation and reporting
Expertise
- Experience managing small works or minor construction/maintenance projects
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders
- Knowledge of Hard FM and Soft FM service delivery
- M&E experience is highly desirable
- Strong project management and organisational skills
- Good understanding of health & safety, building regulations, and contract management
Desirable
- Experience in healthcare, NHS, or regulated environments
- Knowledge of HTM/HBN guidance
- Construction Management qualification or similar
- SMSTS or equivalent
