Job Title: PfA Senior Case Officer
Location: North East London
Contract Length: 6 months
Working Arrangement: Hybrid (2 mandatory office days per week)
Day Rate: Negotiable via umbrella company
We are seeking a Senior SEN Officer for a London Borough’s Preparing for Adulthood (PFA) Team. This is an exciting opportunity to oversee a dedicated team of 4 Coordinators and Case Officers, driving positive outcomes for Post-16 learners with special educational needs.
Reporting directly to the SEND Team Manager for PFA, you’ll play a critical role in managing complex assessments, coordinating annual reviews, and offering day-to-day supervision to your team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the PFA team of Coordinators and Case Officers
- Oversee Post-16 casework, including EHCP assessments and annual reviews
- Provide supervision, coaching and operational guidance
- Liaise with families, education providers and professionals to ensure smooth transitions
- Report to and collaborate with the SEND Team Manager for PFA
Requirements
- Proven experience in a senior SEND role within a local authority
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities
- Excellent communication and casework coordination skills
- Willingness to attend the office two days a week-non-negotiable
