Position: SENCO
Start: asap
Contract: Until the end of the academic year
Working pattern: 5 days a week (4 days considered)
Rate: £300 per day
Currently seeking an experienced and qualified SENCO for an interim role at a school near Suffolk. This is a mainly leadership-focused position, with very little teaching required (occasional cover only), and is available immediately until the end of the academic year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage SEND provision across the school
- Support inclusion and remove barriers to learning for pupils with additional needs
- Oversee behaviour management and attendance strategies
- Work closely with teachers and support staff to monitor pupil progress
- Liaise with external agencies and professionals as required
- Ensure statutory SEN processes and EHCPs are managed effectively
- Provide guidance and support to staff on SEND best practice and interventions
Essential Requirements:
- Qualified SENCO
- Strong leadership experience in SEND provision
- Confident in managing staff, pupils, and external partners
- Ability to lead, inspire, and support a team to ensure effective provision
