Interim Project Manager – Strategic Infrastructure & Regeneration

Panoramic Associates is currently working with a public sector organisation to appoint an experienced Project Manager to support the delivery of a strategic feasibility submission as part of a significant regeneration programme. This is a politically sensitive piece of work requiring someone who can manage complex workstreams, coordinate multiple stakeholders, and ensure high-quality outputs are delivered to demanding timelines and governance requirements.
Responsibilities of the Role:
- Manage day-to-day delivery of the feasibility submission workstreams, ensuring outputs are on track and submission-ready for senior governance / ministerial decision-making.
- Coordinate project plans, timelines, risks, issues, and dependencies across multiple partners and technical inputs.
- Support the strategic infrastructure interface across transport, strategic highways, rail, and wider national infrastructure stakeholders, ensuring actions and next steps are captured and progressed.
- Act as a key point of contact for coordinating inputs from local/regional partners, technical consultants, and national infrastructure stakeholders.
- Manage external consultants, ensuring deliverables are clear, on time, and aligned to governance expectations and gateway standards.
- Produce structured reporting, governance papers, and progress updates suitable for senior leadership and politically sensitive environments.
- Maintain clear documentation, decision logs, and audit trails to support accountability throughout the feasibility phase.
To be successful in the role you will have:
- Proven experience project managing regeneration, place-based, or strategic development projects.
- Confidence working in complex stakeholder environments, including public sector partners and infrastructure bodies.
- Local Authority experience.
