What you’ll be doing
- Owning the day to day finance partnering for a group of schools/academies, acting as their go to for finance queries
- Supporting the build of annual budgets and medium term forecasts, and helping leaders understand the “why” behind the numbers
- Producing monthly management accounts with meaningful narrative, highlighting risks/opportunities and recommending actions
- Tracking spend, investigating variances, and advising on forecasting and cost control where needed
- Assisting with scenario modelling (e.g., staffing changes, curriculum/resource decisions) to support operational planning
- Contributing to Trust/organisation‑wide process improvements, consistent ways of working, and stronger financial governance
- Supporting education‑sector returns and statutory reporting requirements (where relevant)
- Coaching non‑finance stakeholders on good financial practice-improving confidence and capability at school level
