Role Summary
Due to ongoing strategic initiatives and expansion into cloud-first architectures, our Client is seeking an experienced Azure Architect to play a pivotal role in advancing their cloud infrastructure. Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of enterprise-level Azure cloud solutions that meet business requirements and technical standards.
- Develop comprehensive cloud architecture strategies, ensuring scalability, security, and cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into robust cloud solutions.
- Provide hands-on guidance during the deployment of Azure services, including compute, storage, networking, and security components.
- Establish best practices for cloud security, compliance, and governance.
- Monitor cloud environments for performance, optimise configurations, and troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Document architecture frameworks, standards, and operational procedures for ongoing maintenance and scalability.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as an Azure Solutions Architect or cloud architect with a strong understanding of Azure cloud platform services.
- Advanced knowledge of Azure architecture design principles, security, and compliance standards.
- Hands-on experience with deployment, configuration, and management of Azure resources.
- Familiarity with IaC tools such as ARM templates, Terraform, or similar.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
- Relevant certifications, such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, are highly desirable.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Experience with hybrid cloud environments and integration with on-premises infrastructure.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines within Azure.
- Prior involvement in large-scale cloud migration projects.
- Strong understanding of cloud cost optimisation strategies.
