Job Title: Traffic Signals Designer
Location: North East England
Contract Duration: 6 Months
About Us:
Panoramic Associates is partnering with a Local Authority client in the North East of England to appoint a skilled Traffic Signals Designer for a period of 6 Months.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement advanced control strategies (MOVA and UTC).
- Engineer computer simulation models of junction/network layouts.
- Utilize software modeling packages and programming techniques.
- Conduct site surveys, measurements, and microsimulation modeling.
- Provide technical advice on traffic signals and associated systems, ensure security of resources, maintain records, monitor budgets, and liaise with clients and public bodies.
Requirements:
- Experience of traffic signals design techniques including pedestrian, junction and advanced control strategies including MOVA, SCOOT and UTC.
- Knowledge of contract documentation in relation to Traffic Signals.
- Ability to produce complex drawings (AutoCAD), technical documents and reports.
- Ability to represent the Authority at a senior level and provide technical advice on transport matters.
