Traffic Regulation Order Officer
6 Month Contract
South West – Local Authority
£250- £275 Per Day (Outside IR35)
Full Time – 2 days per week on site/ in office
Responsibilities:
- Implementing TROs in line with legislation, design standards, and council policies. Your contributions will be vital in various projects, ranging from minor highway improvements to major infrastructure initiatives.
- You will ensure TROs comply with legal requirements, prepare reports, manage correspondence, assist with public engagement, and collaborate with internal teams and legal services.
- Conduct site visits, and audit completed works.
- Oversee the commissioning of TRO work to external consultants, managing these relationships to ensure successful delivery.
- You will assist the TRO Manager with the procurement and management of TRO-related contracts.
About you:
- You will have an in-depth understanding of all facets of TRO work, including the interpretation and application of highway legislation and regulations.
- You will bring experience in fostering collaborative relationships with other teams to ensure that highway projects achieve their goals.
- You will also have strong verbal and written communication skills, the capability to audit construction works associated with a TRO, and the ability to make sound, rational decisions.
