Role: Team Manager - Together for Families

Rate: £54,365 - £59,987 (includes £6,700 annual market supplement)


Team Managers have accountability for the operational management and supervision of the social work team, inclusive of resource and performance management, quality assurance and partnership working.

Together for Families (TFF) Service is an exciting new development for the Local Authority and has been introduced in order to improve services for children in the area, and to help achieve the vision that is to help every child have a happy, healthy and successful life.

There are 4 x Together for Families Teams within the Service, who will work with children during S.17 (Children Act, 1989) single assessments, S.47 child protection investigations, as well as working with children subject to CIN Plans, CP Plans and CLA.

Undertake performance management, quality assurance and ensure value for money in services delivered by the team, act on inadequate performance as appropriate.

Allocate and supervise workload to agreed service priorities; monitor case files, computerised records; deal with workload management issues as they arise.


  • Social Work qualification and registration with Social Work England
  • Previous Team Management Experience within a LA
  • Up-to-date legislative knowledge around Children Services
  • Evidence of post-qualifying experience and continuous professional development
