Panoramic Associates are working with a local authority in Northwest London who are looking for a Compliance and Health & Safety Manager to join their team on an interim basis for a minimum of 6 months. The successful candidate will oversee statutory obligations and ensure compliance across the client’s housing portfolios. You’ll lead on implementing regulatory frameworks, manage risk, and cultivate a safety-first culture within our organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct strategic oversight and operational management of compliance with landlord duties and regulations, ensuring residents and assets are protected.
- Lead the implementation of Building Safer Futures legislation and oversee housing fire safety initiatives, ensuring the well-being of the client’s communities.
- Manage insurance contracts and ensure the asset base is adequately protected, minimising risks of serious damage.
- Support the Head of Property Services in ensuring statutory compliance across all housing operations, fostering a culture of accountability.
- Develop and maintain compliance and Health & Safety policies, staying abreast of legislative changes and industry best practices.
- Foster a safety-first culture among staff, including those working remotely, through effective communication and training initiatives.
Requirements
- Proven track record in statutory compliance and Health & Safety management, with a keen understanding of regulatory requirements.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve compliance objectives.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively liaise with internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Experience in budget management and contract oversight, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently.
- Familiarity with risk management methodologies and the ability to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
- Relevant qualifications and certifications in compliance and Health & Safety management preferred.
