Job Title: Senior Lawyer – Commercial law (contracts & procurement)
Location: Northern Home Counties
Salary: £49,000 – £56,000 pa
Duration: Full time permanent
Type: Hybrid | 2 days on-site
We are collaborating with a large public organisation based in the Northern Home Counties to support them with recruitment of a Solicitor to their well-established Commercial department.
This role will have a primary focus ensuring compliance with statutory duties and obligations in commercial, contracts, procurement, trading, and corporate law, while protecting the best legal interests of client organizations to the highest standard.
Duties:
- Manage a diverse caseload of both straightforward and complex legal matters.
- Deputize for the Principal Lawyer in their absence and assist in managing and supervising the Commercial Team as needed.
- Support the Principal Lawyer in the strategic and operational delivery of the Commercial Team, ensuring a responsive, high-quality, and effective legal service.
Essential Criteria:
- Good knowledge of commercial law and experience dealing with trading, commercial contracts matters would be preferable.
- Past experience working within local government.
