Candidates should have extensive experience within health protection with experience of working in response to the Covid 19 pandemic. Experience of working within a local authority public health team is desirable.

The role will entail managing multiple and challenging demands and dealing with complex public health and health protection issues. This may include assisting with risk assessments and providing training to outside organisations.

You will also work closely with the Public Health and Communities Knowledge, Information and Evidence Team.

You will be supported by other public health consultants within the Department who currently lead the response Hub on a rota basis and you will be expected to take a hands-on role in guiding the Response Hub through the day-to-day operational response. This will include chairing review meetings IMT's and other outbreak support meetings.
