Science Teacher – Special School | Gloucestershire (near M5) | September 2025 Start
In partnership with Alderman Knight School

Panoramic Associates is proud to be working with Alderman Knight School, a highly regarded special school located in Gloucestershire, to recruit a passionate Science Teacher. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated team and make a real difference to young people’s lives, teaching a diverse group of students across KS3, KS4, and KS5.

The Role

Alderman Knight School is looking for a Science Teacher who is passionate about providing an exciting, enriching curriculum for students with a range of needs. The successful candidate will teach Science across KS3, KS4, and KS5, where pupils have the opportunity to study GCSE Science, Entry Level qualifications, and BTEC Applied Science.
While the students at Alderman Knight work across a wide range of levels, many are able to access GCSE courses. As a Science Teacher, you will be part of a supportive team working to provide tailored, engaging lessons that help pupils develop confidence, resilience, and a love for learning. The curriculum includes GCSE Physics, GCSE Biology, Entry Level Certificates, and, from September 2025, the Double Award GCSE in Combined Science.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for inspirational teachers who:

  • Have passion and commitment to teaching Science across KS3, KS4, and KS5.
  • Have the ability to differentiate learning experiences to suit individual student needs and support them in making progress.
  • Have experience working with students with additional needs (experience in a special school is not essential but will be beneficial).
  • Can design lessons that help students build on prior knowledge and strengths, while providing tailored support for areas they find challenging.
  • Are dedicated to helping students achieve their full potential and become resilient learners.
  • Are enthusiastic and willing to get involved in all aspects of school life.

Joining Alderman Knight School means you will be part of a school that truly values its staff and offers an inclusive, nurturing environment where personal and professional growth are key priorities. Staff here are passionate about their roles, and teaching is often described as more than just a job-it’s a vocation.
Benefits of joining the school include:

  • Health and well-being support, including access to an Employee Assistance Programme
  • Convenient location, easily accessible from the M5 and near the Cotswolds, with excellent local amenities and shopping facilities
  • On-site parking
  • Cycle-to-work scheme
