Mechanical and Electrical Surveyor
Northwest London
£400 per day inside IR35
Panoramic Associates are working with a client in Northwest London who are seeking a skilled Mechanical and Electrical Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising planned maintenance and day-to-day repair work across the client’s housing and non-domestic stock. This includes lift maintenance, fire alarm systems, door entry, periodic electrical checks, rewiring, and energy efficiency projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise Planned Maintenance and Responsive Repairs contractors.
- Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations.
- Oversee procurement, contract supervision, administration, and quality assurance.
- Manage Cyclical Maintenance Budgets, monitor expenditure, and provide financial details to the Asset Manager.
- Design, write specifications, and supervise M&E works in line with British Standards and CIBSE requirements.
- Provide education and technical advice on energy-saving measures and compliance functions within the client’s properties.
- Supervise external consultants and coordinate the work of contractors and consultants for project completion.
Qualifications
- Ability to perform basic to advanced duties with minimal supervision.
- Experience in supervising contractors, consultants, and mentoring junior staff.
- Strong understanding of Health and Safety regulations, Building Regulations, and energy efficiency standards.
- Proficiency in using MS Office and specialist software packages for energy management and asset database maintenance.
- Satisfactory clearance of a Basic Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
