Panoramic Associates are excited to announce we are working in partnership with Redbridge Civic Services Ltd to support them in their joint venture with London Borough of Redbridge with the crucial hire of a Managing Director to lead and meet the waste ambitions of the local authority.
£80,000 per annum + benefits
3 days on site/ office, 2 days home working per week
Location: Ilford
Will consider someone with up to 3 months’ notice
30-40% of this role is Managing Director, and 60-70% Operations.
Key responsibilities:
- You will set policies, procedures, and governance for the service
- You will be self-sufficient in health and safety policy and legislation
- You will clearly review and analyse the business financials and be very keen on interpreting financial data
- Undertake contract management, be close to the operational side, and review the annual performance of the contract
- Understand legislation moving forward, manage the change programme
- You possess a deep strength of character and have the sound ability manage the team
- Be responsible for the Operations Manager, supervisors, the Transport Manager, drivers, loaders, business managers etc.
- Potential to be involved in re-tendering contract for 2029.
Requirements:
- No essential qualifications
- Ability to manage a profit and loss account
- Relationship management with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to manage relationships with the union and understand their objectives
- Hold a waste background – private sector is desirable
- Previously managed a waste collection, curb side contract
- Ability to work independently from a defined management structure
- Full driving licence. Car/ car allowance not provided
