Panoramic Associates are supporting our Local Authority client with the recruitment of a Locum Senior Adult Social Care Solicitor for an initial 12 months, on a 3-5 day per week basis.
- Hourly rate: up to £65 p/h, Inside Ir35
- Logistics: 1 day per week onsite (ideally)
- Contract length: Initial 12 months with scope to extend
- Arrangement: Ideally full-time but part-time options will be considered
Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for experienced ASC Solicitor to advise on healthcare related projects and collaborate directly with ASC department on matters.
You will help with cost saving measures and provide legal advice on ASC cases. From a legal perspective, you will look at why the council is having high spend in certain areas and having cost saving deliverables allocated. As part of your role, you will ensure cases can be easily resolved rather than it taking longer and putting financial strain on the local authority.
You will provide advice under the Mental Health Act 1983, including deprivation of liberty, place of safety & s117 aftercare.
Court of protection work will include providing advice on all aspects of the Mental Capacity Act 2005, deprivation of liberty safeguards and court of protection proceedings for welfare decisions & s21A proceedings.
Weekly onsite meetings are in place so you can spend time with the ASC managers. **If you can only look at fully remote roles please do still get in touch.
Requirements:
- Qualified solicitor/barrister or CILEX qualified in order to carry out the senior solicitor position
- Local government Adult Social Care experience so you pick up cases
