Locum Commercial Contracts and Procurement Lawyer

Minimum 6 months contract

Hybrid - Northern Home Counties, commutable from London

£350 per day umbrella

Panoramic Associates has been instructed by a local government legal services provider to recruit a Locum Commercial Contracts and Procurement Lawyer.

This role is offered on a hybrid basis, giving you the flexibility to work from home. Office attendance is required once per month. You will be required to prepare, negotiate and advise on all aspects relating to legal projects involving multiple agencies and client interests, including the third sector and charitable organisations.

This role offers a varied remit of work that covers the full range of local authority contracts and procurement matters.

An interest in management would also be of benefit as dependent upon experience you may be required to assist in management and supervision of the Commercial Team as required.

You will be joining a committed in-house legal team, which is delivering an efficient and high-quality legal service to enable the council to deliver the priorities of the Borough.

Key Skills and Requirements:

  • A qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive, alternatively, non-qualified Lawyers with substantial relevant experience will also be considered
  • To be responsible for the full range of local authority contracts and procurement matters
  • Provide accurate, timely and effective legal advice to clients covering commercial and procurement law matters
  • To have good practical knowledge of Commercial Contracts and Procurement practices in Local Government and public sector, to include EU Procurement law.
