Locum Consultant in Public Health
Local Government client in Scotland
Flexible working options (ie: Fully remote/Hybrid working model for the duration of the contracts)

Competitive hourly/daily rates DOE (Inside IR35)

Panoramic Associates are working with a local government client in Scotland to support the recruitment for Locum Consultant in Public Health posts. These posts can be FULLY REMOTE for the duration of contract. However hybrid or fully on-site working can be facilitated if preferred. The roles range from 3-5 days per week, 3-9 month contracts to support Health Protection and Health Intelligence.

Locum Consultant in Public Health (Health Protection)

  • Development of Health Protection strategies and policies for communicable disease, reduction of vaccine preventable disease, infection control, environmental health, wider health protection agendas
  • Participation in the out of hours on-call duty rota for the full range of health protection and specialist public health emergencies
  • For the Health Protection post, the ideal candidate will have significant health protection / COVID-19 experience and have proven experience leading IMT/SMT/PAG meetings

Locum Consultant in Public Health (Health Intelligence/Epidemiology)

  • Surveillance and epidemiological analysis of infectious diseases (including Covid-19)
  • Advice and support to public health response on epidemiological issues and infectious diseases analysis
  • Provide senior leadership to the delivery of the Public Health Intelligence team's epidemiological functions

Essential criteria:

  • Inclusion on the GMC or UKPHR specialist register as a Consultant in Public Health (Candidates 6 months away from registration will be considered)
  • Recent experience of working in a local authority/local government and significant public health experience in the main focus areas
