Interim Lead Technical Accountant (Year-End)

Location: London – Hybrid (max on-site once every 2 weeks)
Contract: 6-9 months | IR35: Inside | Day Rate: Negotiable
Start: Mid-February 2025

The Role:
We’re seeking an experienced Lead Technical Accountant to support a large local authority in year-end accounts closure. You’ll provide hands-on technical expertise in group accounts, capital accounting, and IFRS compliance, guiding the finance team and liaising with auditors.

You Have:

  • CCAB qualification (CIPFA preferred; ACCA/CIMA accepted)

  • Strong Local Government closedown experience

  • Expertise in Group Accounts & Capital Accounting

  • Proactive, process-focused mindset
