About the Role:
We are seeking an Interim Short Breaks Coordinator to join the team immediately and oversee a Short Breaks provision for young people with SEND.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordination: Manage and coordinate the after-school and weekend short breaks service, ensuring high-quality care and support for young people with SEND.
- Staff Supervision: Oversee and support the team of carers and volunteers, providing guidance and addressing any operational issues.
- Client Engagement: Work closely with families and young people to understand their needs and ensure the service meets their expectations.
- Compliance: Ensure the service complies with relevant regulations and standards, maintaining high levels of safety and quality.
- Administration: Handle scheduling, record-keeping, and reporting to ensure smooth operation of the service.
Requirements:
- Experience: Proven experience in coordinating or managing services for young people with SEND or a similar field.
- Skills: Excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Flexibility: Ability to work varied hours, including after-school hours and weekends.
- Commitment: A genuine passion for improving the lives of young people with SEND.
