Interim Public Health Substance Misuse Commissioner
6-month contract inside IR35
ASAP start (The post holder will ideally be in post by the end of July)

Our client is urgently seeking an Interim Public Health Substance Misuse Commissioner to work on a hybrid-working basis, for a 6-month period. The successful applicant will be responsible for:

  • Commissioning and procurement of Substance Misuse service contracts
  • Working to the current substance misuse recovery grant, assisting to manage the remainer of the programme, including performance management
  • Leading partnership meetings and representing at a regional and national level
  • Working as a Lead for Substance Misuse Treatment and Recovery Grant (SMTRG)
  • Working as a Lead for Rough Sleeper Drug and Alcohol Grant (RSDATG)

In order to apply, you must have proven experience of:

  • Working within a Local Authority Health and Social Care function
  • Recent Substance Misuse experience, including leading the Substance Misuse service contracts
  • Large-scale procurement and commissioning experience
  • Programme management, performance management
  • Strong partnership skills
