Panoramic Associates are working with a health board based in Newport to recruit an Interim Project Manager to undertake a full service review of the catering services at health board premises. This is a full time 12 month assignment which will require on site work.

The Project Manager will co-ordinate the review and oversee a range of stakeholders including (but not limited to); Facilities Managers, Dietitians, Speech and Language Therapy, Senior Nursing and Management colleagues, the Community Health Council and Trade Union partners.

The review will seek to establish a single service delivery method that consistently provides a good quality of food to the Health Board's patients, which achieves each of the All Wales Nutrition and Catering Standards for Food and Fluid Provision for Hospital Inpatients - 2011.

The review will also need to consider national workforce supply issues that could put the catering service at risk. On completion of the review, the Project Manager will be required to develop a detailed report outlining findings and making recommendations to the; Senior Estates & Facilities Management Team, Nutrition & Hydration Committee, Quality & Patient Safety Group and the Executive Team.

To apply for this role:

  • You will be required to have an in depth knowledge of the All Wales Nutrition and Catering Standards for Food and Fluid Provision for Hospital Inpatients - 2011 (ideally based on existing knowledge or experience, but can be gained from studying the Standards online).

  • Be able to work under pressure and to tight timescales whilst co-ordinating a range of internal and external stakeholders with differing priorities.

  • Remain focused on the review's terms of reference and be able to produce a high standard written report of the review's findings.

  • Be experienced in producing highlight reports and developing business cases to a high level. Therefore, it is crucial that the you will possess excellent communication, organisational and report writing skills

Person criteria:

Essential: Prince 2 Foundation - evidenced by certification

Desirable: Existing understanding of All Wales Nutrition and Catering Standards for Food and Fluid Provision for Hospital Inpatients - 2011

Desirable: Previous NHS project management, catering or dietetic experience
