An established independent special school is seeking an experienced Interim Headteacher to provide strong, consistent leadership from January onwards.
The school supports children and young people with a range of complex needs and is looking for a dynamic, student-centred leader who can guide the staff team, maintain high standards, and drive continued improvement during a period of transition.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide strategic and operational leadership across the school

Ensure high-quality teaching, learning, and safeguarding practice

Support and develop the senior leadership team and wider staff

Maintain clear communication with stakeholders and external partners

Continue the school’s commitment to positive outcomes for pupils
What We’re Looking For:

Proven senior leadership experience within a special school or similar specialist setting

Strong understanding of SEND provision and regulatory requirements

A stabilising, collaborative leadership style

The ability to quickly build trust and lead with confidence
