Panoramic Associates are working with a local authority to recruit a Head of Public Health Business and Quality. This is a full time 6 month remote role paying a competitive daily rate.

The purpose of the job is to lead the development and implementation of of enhanced business processes and functions for the public health team and thus enhance quality across the directorate.

Main responsibilities:

  • To lead integrated business support planning and development across the internal and external services within the department.

  • To coordinate and ensure implementation of the Public Health Business Plan, and support the directorate in improving quality.

  • To manage and implent the forward planning for Departmental Management Team (DMT) including the committee reports for Council meetings, and associated multi-agency and partnership meetings.

Essential requirements:

  • Experience of programme/project management
  • To have the ability to implement disciplinary and grievance procedures
  • To have the ability to act as a panel member during disciplinary and grievance hearings
  • To have the ability to select personnel by identifying appropriate recruitment and selection techniques

Essential Qualifications / experience:

  • Educated to degree level.
  • Minimum of three years management experience.
  • Direct experience of quality, planning and performance management.
  • Demonstrable experience of delivering related services in a large department
  • Evidence of professional development through a process of training and development.
  • Experience of working with council and departmental
    senior management and service heads.
