Interim Head of Service – Housing Services
Location: Northeast England
Duration: Interim – 12 months
About the Role:
Are you a dynamic leader with a passion for housing services? We are seeking an Interim Head of Service for Housing Services to join our local authority team in the northeast of England. This role is critical in shaping and delivering our housing strategies and ensuring high-quality services for our community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and review housing strategies and policies.
- Provide housing options advice, homelessness prevention, and interim accommodation services.
- Support young tenants, including care leavers and refugees.
- Advise and engage with private landlords to improve housing access.
- Manage home adaptations and medical rehousing services.
- Ensure cost-effective, high-quality service delivery.
- Monitor budgets and service performance.
- Drive workforce development and succession planning.
- Collaborate with other Heads of Service to enhance corporate standards.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven senior experience in housing management wihtin a Local Authority setting.
