Director of Finance – Urgent Requirement
Panoramic Associates is seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Finance to join our South-West based Local Authority client. This position has become available due to the previous post-holder’s promotion. The successful candidate will oversee finance operations, including revenues, benefits, and procurement. While statutory responsibilities are managed by a deputy, this role covers the entire finance post.
Location: South-West (Hybrid working – typically Monday and Tuesday in-office)
Salary: £800 per day (DOE)
Duration: 6 months initially, with potential for a permanent role
Closing Date: Tomorrow
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage the finance department, ensuring efficient operations across revenues, benefits, and procurement.
* Engage in onsite meetings, typically on Mondays and Tuesdays.
* Collaborate with substantive directors and other key stakeholders.
Requirements:
* Extensive experience in upper-tier finance management within Local Government, with a strong understanding of social care and education.
* Ideally, experience in a Unitary Authority, though this is not essential.
* Well-rounded experience in finance, capable of handling diverse responsibilities.
